Dr. Pevtsov is a Full Astronomer (equivalent to Full Professor with tenure) at the US National Solar Observatory (NSO). He is an NSO’s Associate Director, and the Director for the NSO’s Integrated Synoptic Program (NISP). Dr. Pevtsov is a member of the American Astronomical Society (AAS), the American Geophysical Union (AGU), the International Astronomical Union (IAU), and the Committee on Space Research (COSPAR).
Research Interests: Solar Magnetic Fields and Helicity; Sunspots: Evershed flow, oscillations; Corona: heating, XBPs and CBPs, coronal holes, CMEs; Chromosphere: filaments, Moreton waves; Sun-as-a-star; Space Weather and Space Climate.
