The third working meeting on “Use of Vector Synoptic Maps for Modeling” was held week of 18-21 September, 2018 at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research, Göttingen, Germany. The meeting agenda included discussion of outstanding issues related to solar vector magnetic fields and their use in modelling, questions related to the Polarimetric and Helioseismic Imager (PHI) on board the Solar Orbiter (SolO) mission, and topics related to machine learning, pattern recognition and alike.
